SLENDER FLAME - Great On TV

Great On TV is the first single from the forthcoming album which will be released in Summer 2001. Great On TV sounds dark and is a good example for melodic Wave-Pop which is combined with guitar playing. The guitar playing does not make the melody, it only was used for some special effects. The second (Walking Alone) and third (Der Mond verbrennt) track are pure SynthPop-Music that consists of well done electronic melodies and unusual effects. The singing gives all tracks a unique dark, melodic and warm atmosphere which I do not want to miss when listening to music by Slender Flame.

MARK'OH & mesh - Waves (CD-Single)

MARK'OH is well known as Techno-DJ. Together with Mesh he produced a song that is unique in the SynthPoP-Scene. He took use of real orchestra and choir that was conducted and arranged by Wil Malone. The result is a melancholic ballade that is full of emotions. Track 2 on this Single was remixed by Mesh and seems to be the electronic answer to the first Track (radio edit). Also the B-Side "You And Me" can convince with faster beats and electronic melodies and represents what we are used to hear from MESH! - GREAT!!!!

This Single is a must for all MESH Fans and people how like melancholic SynthPoP of high quality.

RESISTANCE D - You Were There (Maxi-CD One & Two)

After a recess of 2 years Resistance D are back with "You Were There" and entered the German Single Chats at position 69. I was suggestive of early Camouflage Songs when listening to that song, as Camouflage lead vocalist, Marcus Meyn, was responsible for singing. "You Were There" creates a deep atmosphere that is supported by club-beats which make the songs very danceable. Both releases (CD One & CD Two) come with the Video Version and 5 remixes which are most dub-mixes. I would recommend CD Two as it includes the Extended Mix and remixes by "4 Strings", "Maik Maurice" and others ...

SILENT PROMISES - Resolution

Resolution is another sample for classic German Synthie-PoP. The songs built on customary synth-arrangements that delivers no new ideas. The songs change between fast and slow beats with dark and heavy synth-accompaniment. When listening to the album I did not recognized any dependence on Depeche Mode.
The only think I have to criticize is the singing. The singer's voice sounds thin and most of the chords did not come over correct.
