GARY FLANAGAN - Another Coin in the Day Dream Machine

This is Gray Flanagan's second full length album which  was released in 2000 in cooperation with Ninthwave Records (Wheaton, USA). It includes a lot of nice surprises concerning to minimalistic melodies and unusual sounds/effects. "Another Coin in the Day Dream Machine" is very 80s influenced and reminds of music by bands like Kraftwerk, Images in Vogue, OMD, Human League.
Gary combines his music with melodic and marked speaking. Sometimes it pass into singing, which I like most.

On the whole it is a very interesting album that cannot be compared to other releases I know. It is simply unique.

DELERIUM - Silence (Maxi-Single)

"Silence" got to be DELERIUMs most successful release at  the German Single Charts. It's a simple formula to satisfy the German audience, just take an excellent singer like Sarah McLachlan and let the song remix by DJ Tiësto. The result is a high quality Techno song with interactions between Techno beats and mystic atmosphere with a touch of SynthPop in the background. The longest Remix is about 11 minutes but DJ Tiësto understood how to make non-boring remixes by including different techno-runs and melodies.

GREEN COURT feat. De/vision - Shining (Maxi-Single)

Shining is another German release that moves between SynthPop and Techno-Pop. Green Court is responsible for heavy and relevant melodies which got rounded by the smooth singing of Steffen. Its a mystic song that is predestine for dance floor. I also have to recommend the special Maxi-Release which includes remixes by DJ Tiësto and Marc Dawn.

KAJ - Follow Me (Maxi-Single)

This Maxi-Single comes with 11 tracks including about 4 remixes of "Follow Me", two remix of "Fate Can't Be Seen", "The Rise and The Fall", "All is Love" and "Into My Dream". KAJ sometimes sounds very surreal with experimental parts during the songs. They also make use of distorting the voices to give their songs a special character. Concerning "Follow Me" only the Subsequent Mix has gone well with my taste.

This release is ideal for people who want to get in touch with KAJ as it represents the sort of music they make.
