n.ever.endless - Infant School (Maxi-CD)

With Infant School n.ever.endless retain their style we know from their debut album "Never Endless". Melodic Synths (lead melody by a synthetic-Oboe), modern drum arrangements let the music sound up to date.
The remixes do not destroy the atmosphere of the original but make the songs more suitable for disco-dancing. With "The Rose" they added a slow song with excellent synth-string arrangements.

DE/VISION - Void

Undefinable noises and synths as main melodies and also as backgrounds replace their once beautiful and sensitive melodies. They also made use of guitars and drums played by guest artists. De/vision designate their new style as Progressive PoP and they tried to dissociate from Synthpop.

Either you love or you hate it. I hate it!!!

APOPTYGMA BERZERK - Welcome To Earth

Wow, another powerful release by APB - I do not know if it is Synthpop or Techno, I think "Heavy Synth" will be the most suitable name for their music-style. Their fourth release sounds more melodic than the previous and with "Starsign" Stephan Groth shows that he is also a good singer. Among some excellent songs it includes some experimental tracks which are superfluous (f.e. untitled 3). Apart from those songs it is APB's best album so far.

AND ONE - Virgin Superstar

I never was enthusiastic about the music by AND ONE until they released this album. According to the CD-Inlay AND ONE got inspirated by Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Ultravox, Distain, and others ...
But I have to say that I was not able to draw any parallels to one of the above mentioned bands except to Distain. All songs are very groovy and I am sure you will feel like dancing. On the whole it is an excellent album that stand out against other SynthPoP releases.
