Where do you come from and what is your main job?
I live in Argentina, Buenos Aires where I am working as an editor for a local television company.

You call your band "Sequencia".
What's the meaning/idea of Sequencia?

Hmnn.Sequencia..let me reflect. When I was a child I used a computer named Amiga and the boot system was called "startup sequence". I took "sequence" and remodelled it to "sequencia" which represents a mixture of both English and Spanish.

Which kind of equipment do you use?
I am using a Casio keyboard combined with midi, some virtual synthesizers which are installed on an Intel Pentium III computer system. For sequencing I am using Steinberg's Cubase.

What are your reasons for producing electronic music, especially Future PoP?
Well, I love music, especially SynthPoP music. During my childhood I sometimes played songs by Erasure, Depeche Mode, Cetu Javu and Camouflage, etc. alone in my room. To keep up to date I decided to produce danceable FuturePoP.

Who inspires your music?
Life, only life!

Why did you decide using Spanish lyrics?
I grew up in Argentina and I am still living there, therefore I wanted to add Spanish lyrics. I also like music by bands who make use of Spanish lyrics (e.g. Moenia, Estatuas De Sol, etc).

What are the sources of your lyrics?
Own experiences, disaffection with existing situations or pure Fiction?

The lyrics are about love, deceptions, my visions, the recent situations here in Argentina and especially about the life in general.

What kind of audience do you want to reach?
Are you also planning to perform live gigs?

I am really happy about the fact that people feel my music and like to dance to it.
Yes, I am trying to perform in Buenos Aires supported by a new singer. As you know I am singing on the recent demos, but I am in search of a better singer J.

What's about the SynthPoP scene in Argentina?
Where did you get your music? Do SynthPoP clubs exist in Buenos Aires?

I think the SynthPoP scene is smaller here in Argentina compared to Europe or the USA. Well, where I live there are some very talented bands like "Luminaria, Useless Project, Mhz, etc.
Unfortunately it is hard to obtain SynthPoP music here and after all the original CDs are horrendously expensive. I sometimes order CDs at ADD (www.adifferentdrum.com). I am also happy that some DJs, like "DJ Efepi" and "DJ Gothmachine" are organizing some ElectroPoP parties in different clubs.

What are your future plans for Sequencia?
Well, first of all I am trying to find a new singer. Then I will re-record all my demos and I will hand out an EP to different SynthPoP labels.

You told me about doing some remixes for well-known American bands.
Which bands and songs are you going to remix?

That's right. On January 2004 a remix for the song "Navigation" by the band named "Syrian" will be released. I also made remixes for Argentinean groups, like Useless, Project Luminaria, Btb Project, Side Effects, and Mhz. But I am very happy about remixing the song "Winter" by the American band "The Echoing Green" for the upcoming EP, named "The Story Of Our Lives" and doing a remix for the Australian band "Neuropa".

I addition producing electronic music you are also spreading SynthPoP music around the world by the online radio Insömniak. What are the future plans for Insömniak?
Insömniak radio was created for personal use. It wasn't planed as a commercial radio station. It's an instrument for spreading SynthPoP music around the world and to prove that this kind of music still exists. After all, it only represents a play list of different tracks with additional commentaries.

Now enjoy some exclusive brand-new demos which are representing Sequencia's great work in producing SynthPoP music.
