The premise behind Configuration was to
be able to write and produce primarily electronic music in
different 'configurations', meaning that on one song there
might be a focus on abstract percussion and another song the
focus might be the melody. The purpose was to change
song-to-song resulting in a rather electric sound.
The band has changed a bit since then
and has rounded out some edges and now prefers that
Configuration be thought more of as "configured".
There is a distinct sound emerging from Configuration that
will be more prevalent in future aural works.
Scott Adams has played keyboards since
he was 9 and has been producing his own music since he was 16.
He has produced other artist's demos and is working on a demo
for Configuration that will be focused on Synthpop reminiscent
of Erasure, Depeche Mode, and New Order, and more recent
artists like Eiffel 65 and Bloodhound Gang. Expect great
things from this band as they reach out all Synthpop listeners
around the world!
Now, just listen to some of Configuration's mp3s and see for yourself.
